Marie Llanes is a fiber artist who currently resides in Denver, Colorado. She is an award winning traditional quilter who is now using that knowledge and skill set to express her work through a unique modern medium. The inspiration for her work comes from a lifelong love of horses and sewing. Her creativity is fueled by her childhood on a cattle ranch in eastern Colorado and later attending high school and college in southern Arizona, immersing herself in the mysteries and beauty of the desert southwest. Echoes of natural beauty resides in heart and is now expressed in the endless possibilities of thread, fabric, beads and various embellishments.
